Double Californicator – West Coast IIPA (Preorder)

Back by popular demand! Double Californicator was a hit when we brewed it in 2022 – so we’ve decided to give you another chance to get this liquid on your lips!

Basically, we took our beloved Californicator and essentially doubled everything.

Vital Stats:
ABV: 9.8%  IBU: 80 (OG Cali 60) 
Malts: Gladfield American Ale, Gladfield Light Crystal
Hops: Kettle: Flex Whirlpool: Chinook, Centennial (as per OG Cali)    
Active Ferment and Post Ferment Dry Hop: Chinook, Centennial (as per OG Cali)     
Yeast: BRY-97
Appearance: Light to medium amber, which is slightly darker than OG Cali due to doubling the light crystal in the grist. Generous white foam.
Aroma and Flavour:
Classic Cali aromas but significantly amplified. Very prominent sweet malt dominates along with warming alcohol and the classic Cali hop aromas. Fruity aromas of grapefruit, orange zest, tropical fruits, fresh grassiness and pine. Really sweet caramel and honey flavours. A bolder and firmer bitterness is very welcome and helps balance out the big sticky sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Very full, thick and sticky . Very strong upfront sweetness that gives way a little to the bitterness and mild warming alcohol.
Pair it with: Curry dishes, grilled meats or just shared with your best mate
