functions t&c’s​

PAYMENT A deposit of room hire is required to secure all bookings (with the deposit amount subject to which room is being hired) to confirm your date. Payments can be made by cash, eftpos or credit card. Catering payments are due minimum 3 days before the date of the function. Final payments are due the day prior to the function date. Bar tabs or drinks/food on consumption is to be paid upon conclusion of the function, unless other arrangements have been approved by the Functions Manager.


CATERING DEADLINES AND FINAL NUMBERS All catering is to be confirmed two weeks prior to your function unless otherwise approved by the Functions Manager. Final numbers must be confirmed 3 days prior to the function date. No refunds will be given for cancellation of numbers after these times. Increases in numbers are acceptable with adequate notification and additional charges may apply.


CANCELLATIONS All cancellations must be made directly to the Function Manager. All cancellations made up to 4 weeks prior to your booking will be refunded in full. Any cancellations after this are non-refundable unless approved by Functions Manager. Postponement may be acceptable by negotiation.


RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL All bar staff at Big Shed Brewing are trained in the Responsible Service of Alcohol and may refuse to serve alcohol to any person/persons that are showing signs of intoxication or behaving in an offensive manner in accordance with the Liquor Licensing Act 1997. If guests are showing signs of intoxication, displaying aggression or behaving in a way that could be deemed offensive or harmful to other guests and/or to our staff, they will be asked to leave immediately. It is against the law for anyone under the age of 18 to consume alcohol. Under no circumstance should they do so regardless of parental/legal guardian consent. If this occurs, your function will be shut down immediately with no refunds being issued. In accordance with our liquor license – all guests aged under 18 years must vacate the premises by midnight.


CAKEAGE A cake is able to be brought into the venue – a $2 per person cakeage fee will apply if you require our staff to serve it. You are able to bring your own paper plates and forks, and Big Shed can supply a board, knife and napkins for you to serve it yourself with no charge.


DECORATIONS We welcome decorations for bookings with private use of our function spaces. Non private space bookings are allowed to bring decorations with approval from the Functions Managers. Decorations can not include material that may be deemed offensive. No decorations to be applied to any walls. No glitter, confetti, table scatters are to be used and smoke machines are not permitted.


MINIMUM SPENDS On days where public events are being held at the brewery and some peak periods, we may request a minimum spend for private functions. Any minimum spend will be discussed with you at time of booking.


TIME RESTRICTIONS Booking start and finish times will be confirmed prior to your function and must be adhered to as spaces may be booked for other guests. All guests must vacate the premise at closing time (Tuesday – Thursday 9.00pm,
Friday – Saturday 10.00pm, Sunday – Monday 6.00pm) unless extended trading has been pre booked.


BUCKS AND HENS PARTYS, 18TH – 21ST BIRTHDAYS We allow bucks and hens parties for lunch bookings only unless approved by the Functions Manager or Venue Manager. Big Shed is a family friendly venue and all guests behavior must be suitable for this environment. Management reserves the right to remove any individual in breach of this in accordance with the Liquor Licensing Act 1997. Under no circumstances do we allow adult entertainment or drinking games that promote excessive consumption of alcohol. We allow 18th – 21st birthdays however security is mandatory and consumption of alcohol by anyone underage will result in the function being shut down immediately with no refund being issued.


CONSUMPTION No food or beverage of any kind will be permitted to be brought into the venue by a client, any guest or an outside catering company (with the exception of cakes that have been permitted by Function Manager). Big Shed Brewing does not permit BYO alcohol of any type and management reserves the right to remove guests who are in breach of this.


SECURITY Big Shed Brewing Management has the right to request security presence at specific events at the clients cost if deemed required. Security is mandatory at 18th & 21st birthdays and for functions over 60 guests unless other arrangements have been made with the Functions Manager (Guards are a minimum cost of $180).


TENTATIVE BOOKINGS Tentative bookings will be held for 7 days, after this time a deposit will be required to secure private use of our function spaces. After such time management reserves the right to cancel your tentative booking and or re-allocate your space.


CLEANING General cleaning is included in your room hire charge, however if cleaning requirements are excessive, additional charges will be incurred. Any items or decorations that require a separate professional cleaner you will be charged accordingly.


DAMAGE AND LIABILITY Big Shed Brewing Management hold the client/organisers financially responsible for any theft or damages sustained to the venue, equipment and other property owned by or in the care of the venue by the client/organisers, guests or outside contractors prior, during or after the function. Big Shed Brewing will not be held liable for any insurance claims against injury, damage or loss of equipment, merchandise or personal property occurring as a result of the actions of the client/organisers, guests or external contractors. Big Shed Brewing accepts no responsibility for any goods, gifts, equipment or personal items left on the premises. Big Shed Brewing is entitled to debit the clients credit card for the cost of any repair as a result of damage to the venue.


DELIVERY/PICKUP OF GOODS Any goods delivered to the venue must be prearranged with the Functions Manager. Big Shed will not be held liable for any loss or damages of any goods or equipment. Goods must be collected within 24 hours of the function concluding, unless arrangements have been made with the Functions Manager.


PRICE VARIATIONS/PRODUCT AVAILABILITY Every endeavor is made to maintain prices as published, however prices are subject to change without notice due to unforeseen product price increases. Please note that menu items and drink ranges may change without notice due to seasonal availability.
